titanium properties

Pure titanium has a specific gravity of 4.54 and strengths of approximately 300-750 N/mm². Application: In general, unalloyed titanium resists the corrosive action of wet chlorine gas, salt solutions, seawater, most metallic chlorides, calcium and sodium hypochlorites, nitric acid, chlorinated solvents, and most organic acids. Anodized titanium also resists highly aggressive media. For example, the metal is used in electroplating for suspension devices in anodizing baths containing sulfuric acid.
